1. Do you handle resumes' or recruit for companies?

Danger Zone Jobs is an information website and we don't handle job applications, resume's, or recruiting for companies ourselves.

Members with access to the website can find an excellent supply of leads and contact information for just about any job field.

The best approach is to look at the job information provided by each company. They make it clear how they want people to apply for their jobs.

Some want a faxed or email resume', while others want people to apply online through their company's own website.

The important advice I hear constantly from the recruiting managers of the various companies hiring for Iraq and similar places is that the person should pay attention to their instructions.

People should apply for a specific job only after seeing if he meets the qualifications the company states.

If they are looking for people with a general background, they usually say so. Most likely however, they will say, "for this job, the applicant will have these qualifications...."

Most of the companies receive so many applications, it is important to follow their guidelines to be considered.

2. What's the deal with this site? Is it a scam or what? How does it work?

I can fully understand your concern, especially with all the get-rich-quick sites around the net.

Since 1992, I've worked in Kuwait as a partner in a company that provides signage, printing and publishing services for the military and contractors here, mostly reproducing military documents and manuals, creating publications, making outdoor signage etc.

In the course of this, I kept hearing soldiers asking how the guys in CSA, MPRI and the rest found their jobs. Many of the civilians working for private companies also talked about looking for their next job, but not knowing where to start, or not having time to go chasing around the internet looking for openings.

I would note that these people are not just security operators but other professions like training, IT, etc.

The idea is simple: do the internet based research about living and working in this part of the world with defense contractors and PMCs, and develop relationships with the HR people so they give a heads up on what they are looking for.

If people are not already in the business, they probably don’t know where companies have their job information posted, and they don’t know about other informal information networks.

They don’t take the time (or more likely, don't have the time) to keep up with news and information related to working in this region.

So I try to do alot of that work for you.

But to be clear, you still need to do the main work yourself: applying for jobs, making sure you fit their qualifications, getting your documents in order, etc.

3. What about refunds? Do you really honor your guarantee?

Absolutely. Since I don't handle resumes’ or get involved in job recruiting, it’s easy to offer and honor a money back guarantee. Everything is right here on the web. You can see immediately whether the site is useful for you or not.

I basically chose between two business models. Either try to sell advertising and job posts to companies, which isn't practical from Kuwait, or create and maintain a private member supported site, and work at developing it into a solid, useful tool for people.

As you can see I chose the latter, and from what people have said, it seems to have been the right way to go. They save a lot of time keeping up to date and looking for information and the job related material for a reasonable price.

If someone asks for a refund, I do it immediately, no questions asked. If you need one, just email me.

I'm proud to say that less than 4% of the thousands who have joined every needed a refund, usually for reasons dealing with their qualifications, not the site itself.

I think that speaks for the quality of dangerzonejobs.com.

4. I lost my username or password. What do I do?

If you happen to lose or forget your username and password, just send an email to me at editor@dangerzonejobs.com

Let me know the email address you used for joining. If you're not sure about that, just your name and zip code will usually work.

Remember, once you're a member of dangerzonejobs.com, you can keep returning month after month, even next year.

I fully expect people to misplace or forget usernames and passwords.

We all do that. So I'm always standing by to help.

5. I paid my membership, but haven't received my username and password yet. What's up?

We use Plimus for processing our memberships, and the system is automated. Once your order is approved, you are sent an email which contains your username and password in a format like: username / password.

If your order has been approved and you don't receive your email within one hour (most usually within a few minutes), please contact me and I will manually resend it to you.

USERS WITH YAHOO, HOTMAIL and GMAIL EMAIL ACCOUNTS: For some reason, our order confirmations sometimes end up in your S*pam or J*unk mail folders. You might want to check them to see if your emailed information is there.
