The U.S. Department of State has awarded DynCorp International a task order for operations and maintenance support in Liberia, under the AFRICAP contract. The task order, with a value of $5.2 million for the initial 6 month base period, has a potential total value of $20 million over two years if all options are exercised.

KBR Joint Venture Awarded $335m Base Operations Support Contract
KBR Inc. announced today that Vinnell, Brown & Root, LLC (VBR), a 50/50 joint venture between KBR and Northrop Grumman, has been awarded a contract by the United States Air Force in Europe to provide base operations support services for locations in Turkey and Spain, with a potential value of $335 million (award is Euro 225.8 million) over four and a half years.

Army Selects L-3 for Kuwait Training Contract
L-3 Communications announced today that its MPRI division has been awarded a $162.7 million cost plus fixed fee follow-on contract to support the U.S. Army Central Command’s Kuwait Observer-Controller Team program. Under this award, MPRI will be a subcontractor to Raytheon to provide training for U.S. and Coalition forces at the Udari Range in Kuwait. The initial contract period is for seven months, effective September 2009, and includes two option years that would extend it to April 2012.
