KBR to Continue LOGCAP III Work Supporting Army as LOGCAP IV Solicitation is Cancelled
KBR (NYSE: KBR) today announced that it has been notified by the Army that the company will continue to provide life support services to U.S. bases in Iraq under LOGCAP III. This continuation of KBR's work results from the Army's decision to cancel the solicitation of Basic Life Support (BLS) services under LOGCAP IV.

Army snubs KBR under latest combat support services contract
The top dog in contracted support services for the military since 2001 has been KBR. As the sole vendor on the LOGCAP III contract, KBR won $37 billion worth of work to provide troops deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan and Kuwait with everything from dining hall and laundry services to recreation and mail delivery. No more. In the year since the Army awarded a new, follow-on combat-support services contract — called LOGCAP IV — to three vendors, including KBR, the company has not won any work.

Indicted contractor Agility works on LOGCAP IV
A Kuwaiti logistics company accused of defrauding the U.S. government on contracts for feeding troops in Iraq, Kuwait and Jordan is one of the contractors on the massive contract known as LOGCAP, officials said. PWC, also known as Agility, is suspended from new contracts as a result of the indictment. However, that will not immediately affect the LOGCAP contract.
